3V Digital Micro Servo, Standard (FT90B)

3V Digital Micro Servo, Standard (FT90B) Overview:

Do you need little standard servos for a little mechanical project? Try this compact, lightweight servo that requires only 3V to operate, making it great accessory for the BBC micro:bit!

It is an ideal servo motor for micro:bit GO bundle projects paired with our I/O adapter to bring both micro:bit control signals and direct battery current right to a breadboard. A 3-pin single-row header, available separately, will come in handy for connecting this servo to a breadboard.  This servo is included in the What's a Microcontroller with Python and micro:bit - Complete Kit.

Control this servo with PWM (pulse width modulation) signals. It accepts 500-2500 µs pulses, and a 1500 µs pulse will make it turn to and hold its neutral position in the center of its 180° range.

3V Digital Micro Servo, Standard (FT90B) Features:

• Operates at just 3V, ideal for two 1.5V batteries
• Easy to control with simple PWM (pulse-width modulation) signals
• Rotates to and holds any position in a 180° range
• Set of servo horns is included

Applications:

• Adding motion to micro:bit projects
• Animating a mechanical character
• Raising or lowering a signal flag
• Opening or closing an access hatch
