We chose Tenergy Premium 2500 mAh Ni-MH batteries as an environmentally and economically friendly option to power our ActivityBot 360° and cyber:bot robots. Used extensively during development of the ActivityBot robot's Feedback 360° servo, these batteries delivered a more consistent performance, and lasted almost as long on a single charge cycle, as alkaline AA batteries.
Features:
- 12-pack of AA, 1.2 V, 2500 mAh batteries
- Rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride formula
- Compatible with the Tenergy 12 AA / AAA Fast Battery Charger (#752-00021)
- Not subject to Lithium ion battery shipping restrictions
Parallax Small Robot Compatibility:
- ActivityBot 360° (#32600) - highly recommended
-
cyber:bot robot kit (#32700) - highly recommended
- ActivityBot (#32500) - acceptable; but re-calibrate if using 1.5 AA batteries previously
- Boe-Bot Robot (Serial, #28132 or USB, #28832) - Four 1.2 V cells are not adequate, but may be used after switching to a Battery Holder 5-AA Barrel Jack (#753-00007)
Note: The original BASIC Stamp SumoBot (#27402) requires 5 V. Four of these 1.2 cells are not adequate for reliable operation. Our 5-AA battery holder may be mounted under the chassis, but customer modification would be required to remove the barrel plug and strip/tin the leads.
Note: The Shield-Bot with Arduino Uno (#32335) requires 7.5 VDC. Five of these1.2 V cells are not adequate for reliable operation
